In a world filled with science, politics and entertainment, the Bible appears forgotten. Education is incomplete without knowledge of God. Science is noble and useful until it ignores the Creator of the earth. Politics without moral compass is… politics. Even religion becomes dangerous without truth. The Bible, that has informed the thoughts of millions upon millions throughout the ages, could be completely missed by billions!
The Bible is the companion of the true student. The Bible provides knowledge of the Creator. There is no better way to navigate the difficulties of life than by guidance from heaven. The Bible is the foremost writing on subjects that are important to God.
“But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you .” (Matthew 6.33 English Standard Version)
If you have an education, but know little about this “kingdom of heaven”, then why not look into it? If you have a religion but do not understand what Jesus is doing right now, why not study for yourself? There is an incredible wealth of useful wisdom in the Bible. But most of all, there is Jesus who says,
“I will utter things kept secret from the foundation of the world.” (Matthew 13.35).
The Bible contains stories, instruction, and examples of how God works with people like you. Do not be afraid to come to God.
“For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” (Hebrews 4.15-16)
“Come now, let us reason together, says the Lord.” (Isaiah 1:18)
Jesus devotes himself on your behalf so that you are fit for heaven. Where else could you learn more about these matters than the Bible? The Bible is trustworthy. The reliability of its texts have been proven again and again.
How much better to get wisdom than gold! To get understanding is to be chosen rather than silver (Proverbs 16.6)
